Russians literally do not know that their stuff during the war was not superior. They ACTUALLY believe their tech was superior and would never admit otherwise. Planes and tanks. How else do you think their propaganda would convince unarmed men to run at walls of German machine guns at Stalingrad?

Well, to be fair, if you would pair up the Russian planes of 1944 with the ones of other nations of 1944 in Warthunder, then the Russians would loose by a high margin every time. Instead they pair them up with the La9, which hasn't even seen war (Introduced in 1947). So its not necessarily that they think their tech was superior, but that they pair up planes which are a lot older with planes which were obsolete by the time the Russian plane flew.

Because the Soviets killed their own retreating men, it was either go forward and hope to survive the Germans or retreat and definitely get killed by your own...

Oh yeah, definetly it was the case, people didnt care about the genocide germans prepared for all slavs, or about their relatives killed by the nazis, it was defenitely NKVD. .
