i think it's a disservice that that therapy gives people the idea that your sexuality can be changed. it cant. reparative theory doesnt work

Last i checked, minors need to have parental consent for therapy. And since the American Psychiatric Association “opposes any psychiatric treatment such as reparative or conversion therapy which is based upon the assumption that homosexuality per se is a mental disorder or based upon the a prior assumption that a patient should change his/her sexual homosexual orientation.” That means that it should be banned for minors.

Now if you're dumb enough as an adult to believe that mumbo jumbo that those quack clinics peddle, then be my guest.

Once again from the top, your emotional trauma has nothing to do with your sexuality. you therapist is wrong, your therapy is wrong. the only people that peddle that claptrap about "debilitating mental disorders like depression, anxiety, addictions, and self-destructive behaviors" are the people who believe that homosexuality is a choice.

and we have numerous medical studies that show that homosexuality isnt a disease or disorder. all the detractors have on their hands are disproven, outmoded practices that do more harm than good,
