DavidReiss is something awful. He was the cancerous mod who basically destroyed /r/Europe and others had to create /r/European in order to provide a subreddit for Europeans to discuss issues without censorship.

In 2011, I led a major effort along with /r/metacanada to finally get him removed from /r/canada, after he banned hundreds of us for opposing his censorship. It started with him censoring any discussion about the death penalty, and then became him banning anyone who complained about the censorship.

It's crazy that /r/Europe lets an American destroy their subreddit for so many people that just want to be able to express their views. He's hell-bent on censorship but he's a reddit "power user" and it takes a real major effort to stop him.
