Ian "Freeman" Bernard Does Not Speak for Me
Members of the Board of the Free State Project,
We, the undersigned, are Free State Project Signers and Friends. We are exerting the maximum practical effect towards the creation of a society in which the maximum role of government is the protection of individuals’ rights to life, liberty, and property.
As such, we wish to make some observations to the Board, along with our recommendation.
For its first 15 years, the FSP was not well known, not even in New Hampshire. It took a lot of time and money to get each new signer. These days, the FSP is well-known in liberty circles worldwide, with coverage by major news media, having libertarian luminaries who support and endorse us. And we are definitely known in NH.
Despite our success, even with all 20,000 movers in-state, we will remain a tiny minority in New Hampshire. The continued success of the Project depends powerfully on the sentiment of our NH neighbors towards our community.
Given the above facts and with the move triggered, the focus for the FSP must now shift away from obtaining attention, and instead toward building respect.
Unfortunately, a small number of news media outlets have repeatedly placed the attention of the media over the respect of the Project.
Therefore, we call for the Free State Project to disassociate from the following media entities. FSP must no longer sponsor, advertise on, affiliate with, or accept sponsorship or advertising from:
- Free Talk Live
- Free Keene
- Liberty Radio Network
We cannot overstate how badly loss of respect impedes our ability to achieve our goals. We cannot and will not be associated with these outlets, or with organizations associated with them.
We make this request to the Board because of our deeply-held desire to fulfill the goal of the Free State Project -- Liberty in our Lifetime.

The problem has been for years that FTL and its owner(s?) have run the FSP as a virtual cult, permeated with the tenets of THE SECRETtm, the Law of Attraction, or whatever its currently not called to distract from its patent nonsense. An ideology that preaches you can get what you want by wishing, and that anyone you victimize had it coming so it's all right, will inevitably attract the worst element, and alienate the best. Smashing the State is going to require education, industry, planning, and a bit of guile, all of which is only going to be repelled by Ian's glib charisma and hippy-trippy pop philosophy.
The relevance of polyamory, promiscuity, drugs, pedos like Ian and Kyle and the general degeneracy I see coming from "libertarians" in NH are all reasons I have decided to NOT be a part of the FSP or move.
I urge the board to consider what's going on and who is involved in their movement. I am a prime example of someone who would have definitely moved had it not been for the disgusting things I see there from afar.
