"Getting" kids? (self.TheBluePill)

I've noticed a weird turn of phrase while lurking PPD, TRP and other related subs. A lot of these types of guys say "getting kids" instead of something like "having kids" or "fathering kids," etc. (Example: in PPD just now I saw a RP guy say he's considering marrying his current partner because he's interested in "getting kids" someday.)

This seems like such a weird, awkward phrasing, and I don't remember ever hearing it other than in the "manosphere." Is this just a vernacular I'm not familiar with, or is there some reason they like to phrase it this way?

people use similar language about "getting" a girlfriend and it is very weird too

and anal for that matter

See, this is kind of what I was thinking about.

They see people and relationships as resources to extract. You don't "find" or "choose" a girlfriend or a wife, you "get" one. You don't "have" sex, you "get" sex. It's such a strange way of viewing things.

I guess I'm used to the other ones, but this "getting kids" is a new one I've noticed and for reasons I can't put my finger on, it really weirds me out.

it reads like an entitled and mechanistic view of human relationships like something out of a video game. if you grind hard, do x y and z fetch quests, you will get an epic mount or whatever. if you just lift enough weights and implement proper levels of dread, you will get some delicious anal from your plate. you put in the work (that you assume will work in your infallible wisdom), so you deserve it!

They see relationships as transactions. "Having" kids implies that you are making something. It's an act of care, artistic and creative. But, they don't see things that way. If they pay with enough alpha credits by lifting, following the rules and doing as they're told, they will "get" sex, and if they are willing to pay with their super valuable commitment, they will "get" girlfriends. If they "get" enough unprotected sex from those girlfriends, they "get" kids.

When I was a child, I remember working hard to get all 180 emblems and then saving 30,000 rings to buy Maria on the Chao Black Market. To them, that's what relationships are like. It's sad, really.

Honestly, I think quite a few of them are incapable of ever truly connecting with another human being, so they aren't ever cooperating with other people. They're just existing next to them.

They don't actually know where babies come from. They think that they just keep putting in dread/alpha/nice guytm tokens until the desired transaction happens.

They also keep saying "swallowing" the red pill. I've even seen them talk about getting their friends to "swallow" it as well.
