High-profile users routinely exploit their status by plugging their other projects, be it gathering support for Trump or selling t-shirts. It's just a symptom of TRP (and the manosphere in general) outgrowing its seminal phase, as shrewd figures try to piggyback on it to further their own ends.

its the life cycle of the firm. Its kind of fascinating to watch. It seem the community is much more forgiving of self promotion (buy my shirt/check out my blog) because the people doing it are contributing a lot to the discussion. Promoting someone else isn't so popular.

Thanks for saying something about it. I'm surprised there isn't a rule about leaving politics/religion at the door. Well I mean a rule other than "Christianity/Conservatism = RP" and if you disagree then stfu.

I checked the rules, and it isn't a rule. But it should be, or there is nothing from preventing the 143,000 people subscribed here turning this place into another garbage political subreddit. I'm seeing political garbage seep into this place more and more and I don't think it's good for the community to allow it to happen without a word of complaint.
Go read the post about Nazis that was stickied by mods the other day and tell me if you think that's a good direction for this subreddit to go in. Now half the threads I visit have people plugging politicians. We are lying to ourselves if we think that's in the spirit of what TRP is about.

I don't dismiss political talk as BS as long as it's relevant. My comment was more directed towards the ethics of using endorsed user status in TRP for personal politics that aren't inherently connected with TRP.
There is an entire reddit full of political discussion. There is just this one for TRP.
Surely you can understand that that is not the same thing as being a cattle.

GLO sells shirts, IM plugs a blog, I'm plugging my support for Trump. We don't allow just anyone to come around and spam TRP with shit, but I think if you ask any long term TRP guy here (including the mods), I've earned my dues.

fear of dying alone has not stopped any women from divorce raping high SMV men. There is no winning the marriage game unless you move into some remote rural areas with strong traditional conservative values. You have to leave modern life essentially. I tell my mom that if I ever get married, I'd move so far off the grid to raise my family that my address would be a GPS coordinate and she'd have to travel 3 days by horse and buggy to get to me.

One of the things that new users complain when a self-critical thread about TRP comes up is the idea that everything must be divided into the Alpha/Beta divide which they see as artificial.
It's going to be quite a head trip when endorsed users start telling them that one candidate is Alpha and the other is Beta, further diluting the meaning of these terms in the minds of many guys who are in the process of trying to swallow the pill.

I'm working on a write-up on why Donald Trump is one of the most Alpha men to walk this earth in the last 100 years. I'm not going to be using any of his political stances, but simply his attitude, his demeanor, and skills in communication with adversarial entities, such as the press. We can all at least learn something from his persona and apply those lessons to our own lives. My political support for him is immaterial in a RP context, though I will not complain if I can get more people to vote for him in November.

That's the reasoning. It's not an excuse, just why he claims to have done it. That being said, I don't think it diminishes his advice, even in the slightest. Just because someone is a hypocritical, doesn't mean they can't give good advice regarding a topic.

He knows how bitches are, as always be closing stated she is older, used up, on the decline and her chances of getting a better deal is nil. So in the interest of having someone around, for sex and activities, companionship, etc, he got a decent looking girl (not great) that will follow him. If the prenup prevents her from divorce raping him, she has no better alternative than him in her future.

You follow the guy because his policies make sense. You don't follow the guy because his policies don't make sense.
