Descriptions:
C support:
There are several removed and altered lines that had to do with their relationship as a family. Ryoma is no longer his authoritative self and has tendencies to become aggressive at random parts. Azura refuses his help in an almost angry manner, which does not happen in the original, where she simply expresses gratitude. The localization makes her seem rebellious instead of wanting to be helpful and independent. The original also shows a slight tension between the two because the characters are similar in how they see their roles, that of protectors/leaders, which is absent in the localization. One other change is how Ryoma was changed to instead try to force a social interaction instead of trying to help Azura out of selflessness.
B support:
The lines are completely rewritten, some weren’t present in the original in any way. The same issue remains with removal of anything related to them being a family (e.g. even the soldiers are part of this “family” even if they’re not blood related, camaraderie is taken out of the localization). The dynamic of the conversation changes but not in a meaningful way, the swapping of lines and the rewrites are the main problem, in the original, they talked about their feelings more and their bonds were far more stronger.
A support:
The first few lines had a reference to通せんぼ or toasenbo, which is like King of the Hill (the game) or a barrier you put in your house to stop animals or children from reaching somewhere. (E.g. “You’re like a guardian”)
This conversation suffers of the same problems like the C and B conversations. References to them being family are removed, replaced either with nothing or their own made up narrative. A lot of sentiment is lost in the localization.
Instead of ending this conversation amicably like in the original, they just make
them stand in front of each other in defiance.
S Support:
And this is the culmination of the changes to the previous conversations. The previous changes still have an effect on the future conversations. The whole support turned into a discussion about groceries and depending on people for chores. Like in many other support conversations, anything related to rings is taken out.

It was shit. I don't know who gave the idea that Psychfag's first review should be a very controversial one, but it did not only have mistakes in it, it had little to do with the actual gameplay, just the localization and censorship shit. To give it a 6/10 (on a real scale, though) is just fucking sloppy, and going for clicks.
We all know Brandon can be a bit of a loose cannon, so this is all expected, but right now I can't support them financially on top of visiting them no longer. If they can make a change for the better again I'll return as a backer for sure.
Also psychfag if you read this, your strength has really been in your articles, I don't think a review like this was a good start at all. Let Brandon give you some non-controversial game, read Carl's reviews for example, read your own review policy - the game and what it is, how it is and what it does comes first, all other issues second. Right now it reads to the rest of the gaming world who know of NG as the 7/10 Polygon Bayonetta review, and that sucks.

I wish I could say it was as minor as pokemons split. With pokemon, the games are mostly the same with a slight taste change, like 2 glasses of iced tea, one with a lime wedge, one with lemon wedge. I have a question regarding a game I recently found. It kickstarted the whole 'gamification' thing and it has a much broader reach than most games of the sort.
The game is called 'foldit' and it's about folding cells to create proteins. It uses actual 3D images created by some sorta computer magic to accurately portray a cell/protein, and leaves it to users to fold it to the best of their abilities. No prizes, just points and bragging rights.
My question is, is this game, or the parties involved, at all connected to any of the institutes that are attempting to manipulate gaming for their own agenda? Organizations like Digra or something similar to that effect.
This game released in 2008, so I am uncertain how likely it is to have some sort of relevance to any of these organizations. At the very least, the fact the game exists proves that, beyond a shadow of doubt, saying gamers are evil is saying people who play foldit are evil.

You're both thinking of folding@home, which is an ongoing thing on PC and was once on the PS3, but was removed at a later date. Foldit is vid related. It's 3D puzzles representing cells and you get points by connecting cells in a correct way, in the tightest manner possible, similar to an actual cell folding.
There are groups competing, but no prizes or rewards for it. That's a legal issue for another day though.

Also "gamification" as a concept doesn't really apply to videogames in the first place. It's an old buzzword from the business/tech world for applying videogame-type structures to non-game things, like giving employees "achievements" or some shit. You can't gamify a game, that doesn't make sense. The reason I used the term 'gamification' is because the game itself is used to use humans to solve problems computers cannot solve in a reasonable timeframe. It is a game, yes, but the way it is designed (create a 3D model of what a certain cell is assumed to look like, give players the task of folding it in a way a computer cannot, etc.) gives it applications outside of gaming itself.
Also, one of the earliest articles I could find on it said it was 'gamification' so I assumed that would be an accurate description.
The one interesting thing to note is that when they researched a cell related to the AIDS virus, they were attempting to solve it for ten years to no avail. Supercomputers, scientists, nothing really made a reasonable solution.
They put it in the game and it was solved in ten days.
Makes me wonder about a few things, honestly.

I was similarly lucky to go to a charter school. It was actually a school sort of based on Japanese teachings. We had homeroom, put our shoes at the door in boxes and did cleaning after school. We also did a Spring Festival with games and stuff, had grade school kids come over on Children's Day and we did activities with them, track and field games in the fall and we had a taiko club after school. I got pretty good. Japanese was one of our classes. Sadly we kept going through teachers so our lessons were badly fragmented and I never learned a scrap of kanji, which basically makes reading nip impossible. We had one super QT teacher and several interns though.
