Tasoshi: and the mods here are of course phantomcircuit, a blockstream employee, Luke-Jr, a blockstream employee, and they calling bitcoin.com "SCAMMY" while presumably bitcoin.org is a saint

Tasoshi: I'm sure that will raise many suspicions on theymo's actions

Centralization of communication channels is in place and has been for some time now. Will bitcoin be able to break free from this tyranny and regain the momentum it lost? I'm starting to think the chances of that are slim to none.

It's up to the people. This is the same issue as with Core vs. Classic. There is another bitcoin implementation now called Classic. People have a choice, it's up to them to empower themselves to make a choice or not.

The same goes for communication channels. If you want to empower yourself, use another communication channel such as /r/btc or https://forum.bitcoin.com.

It all circles back to BlockStream controlling the protocol through their influence over Core and the miners. Take out Core and all of back door dealing by BS is nullified instantly.

Regardless if Blockstream is influential or not, people have a choice; that is the great thing about life. If people choose to not make a choice (inaction) though, then ultimately we have to deal with those consequences when it comes to bitcoin. Maybe people here should actually do something about it. Take the bull by the horns. Make things happen.

Sell your coins, for starters. Miners can't make any money unless the users allow.

edit: For the troglodyte who downvoted me, how do you think miners make money? Do you think they would make the same amount if the price went down? YOU are responsible for what is happening right now if YOU do not do YOUR job and vote with YOUR feet. What kind of hypocrite expects mining pools to take a chance by voting for a new client when they, themselves, are not willing to take part by voting with their money?

This "choice" can be influenced by controlling and manipulating the communication channels (which is happening). You can't say "well just use /r/btc then". Most people don't even know about /r/btc because mentioning it gets censored in the other sub.

I do not find Bitcoin.com scammy, but as far as communication channels go /r/btc is getting useless these days. Any new commer that stumbles on this sub will likely be turned off pretty fast with all of the negativity. I am all for people trying to push what they believe in to a degree, but many here are toxic and hurting their cause.

Well they would say that because it's got bitcoin classic on there.

He's referring to the links to several wallets available on the site.

Calm down jesus christ. Maybe wait around for a while, see when an op is active and then ask them instead of going on a rant at every occasion and imminently posting it to pastebin
