About this project

We have been Greenlit on Steam!
$4500 - You asked, and you shall receive. Stretch Goal #2 is bigger "ammo racks" and more background art from actual Japanese artists... from Japan... hell yeah!
Erwin Lemmor just got transferred to a prestigious military academy to study Armored Warfare. But when he arrives, Erwin realizes it's not Tank School, but "Tank School" for World War II Main Battle Tanks. Who happen to look just like Japanese School Girls...!
Instead of studying military history and doctrine, he's in "Basic Artillery Computations for Fire Support 101", and "Radio Operations 214". Will he win the heart of the tank-girls, or end up as cannon fodder? Only you can decide in, "Panzermadels: Tank Dating Simulator".
Panzermadels is made by 'DEVGRU-P' a small team of American developers in the style of a traditional Japanese Visual Novel. Unabashedly goofy, the game takes every trope you know from visual novels, and puts a distinctly Tank-Related twist on them! With 5 different romance plot-lines and a variety of endings based on your choices, Panzermadels will keep you entertained for a number of playthroughs!
Written in Tyranoscript, the game will be made available cross-platform on both PC and Mac. Distribution will be done digitally through Steam and direct download, and will be DRM free for backers.
M4 Sherman comes from America and is the most active of all the tanks. She can't stand sitting in class, and would rather be outside on the firing line listening to classic rock while training. She's a bit of a tomboy, and is late for class almost every day, to the annoyance of Sergeant Heartmann.
Panzer IV is your average teenage tank, she likes sweets, pop music, and Anschlussing Eastern European nations. She does well in school and her favorite subject is History. She secretly loves Polka music, but doesn't tell the other Panzermadels. She has an older cousin, Tiger I, and they're the best of friends!
Tiger I is the richest tank in school, but she's also shy and breaks down a lot of she works too hard. She doesn't do as well in school, but always tries her best. When she isn't in class, she likes shopping for new armored skirts, and other accessories. She loves her younger cousin, Panzer IV with all her heart!
T-34 is the shortest tank in school. Sometimes she can act tough to make up for it, but deep down she loves her friends. Her favorite food is Borscht Soup, and has every CD from the Soviet Army Choir. She has a cousin, IS-2, but they don't talk much.
IS-2 doesn't hang out with the other tanks, and is very shy. She's the newest tank at the school and writes home to her uncle, or spends time alone in the library when she's not in class.
Gunnery Sergeant Heartmann is the home room teacher for the tanks. He can be very strict with all of them, and butts heads with M4 Sherman almost every day over her coming to class late or not wearing her uniform properly. His favorite film of all time is "Full Metal Overcoat".
We're a small team so we've been able to get a lot done on a shoestring budget so far, but now that we're ready to go into the final stages of design, we need to raise about $1500 to complete the project.
Cost Breakdown
Character/CG Art - 60%
Our major expense is quality artwork. So far we have been working closely with a very talented artist to create the current character art, but to finish the game we want to have a variety of poses for the main Panzermadels along with a creative and funny cast of supporting characters.
Sound - 10%
One of our team members is a classically trained composer and providing a lot of the musical inspiration of the game. In addition to the soundtrack, we need a small number of talented voice actors and actresses.
Backer Rewards - 20%
Getting the backer rewards made and shipped across the country will take up the cost here, we want to make sure it's all high quality content that our fans will truly enjoy!
Kickstarter Fees - 10%
This will cover what Kickstarter and the Payment Processor takes from the total raised.
Risks and challenges
The team is dedicated to bringing a funny, cute, and creative game to both PC and Mac. Making a game isn't without it's share of risks though, but with a strong core team, we can pull through any challenge that may come across.
We want to distribute the game through Steam greenlight, and so Valve will have a lot of effect on how long it takes to distribute it on Steam. If for some reason we are unable to get the game greenlit, we will be distributing it through alternative channels.
