@Timothy You're totally correct there, as long as the creator intends to deliver they have no obligation to refund anyone's pledge, however some projects have given refunds at their discretion.
I don't expect to receive one but as this kit is now surplus to my requirements asking doesn't hurt.
I'm not one for asking for refunds as I accept the risk associated with backing a Kickstarter project but this delay has all been down to internal business wranglings not technical issues.
So if a refund is available I'd be interested.
I have a Perception Neuron kit now and that is a great bit of kit. They have run their campaign and shipped in the the period this has stumbled along.
The full PN kit is superb with 32 sensors (including hands/fingers) and with the included capture software I'd be willing to wager it blows whatever we're going to get from YEI out of the water.
If anyone needs an affordable motion capture suit that is available now I'd really recommend the Perception Neuron.
@Creator I'd like to get a refund for my suit - I no longer wish to receive it and having waited so long I finally switched to another dedicated motion capture system. What is the best way to go about the refund? Thanks!
Brian this company has let backers down so much no info for nearly a month in know they are saying one thing this is not 2 months from shipping it's a year behind shipping
So will see suits when if they arrive They could take 5 minutes to do update once every 2 week even if thare nothing to update just to say we are still trying but when we get nothing
If I was them and I was achieving the final steps I would tell the world. Just like htc vive is now
I too would like an update but everyone that is asking when this is going to ship should read the last update. In the update you can clearly see that they said a few weeks after GDC which is March 16-18. So probably mid-April is when we should get out suits as long as they are still on track, which I hope they are.
Hi I am Carlo Andrei Mercado. from Level Plus Games Studios.
what is the lauching date of the suit?
because we are waiting more than 2 years for the suit., and we really need the suit on the company.
Yes that definitely will be the case ,but i do believe that tracking body is something so universal that doesn't matter which solution you use they will do the same things, so if something supports vive or oculus touch then it can expand to priovr quite easy, or other products like that. It will give more immersion to users for relatively low cost.
Additionally finger tracking will not be used as major feature in games yet as it was not adopted by neither oculus not HTC which means this feature will have low adoption. Where the other one just builds on top of what is already going to happen.
I am not quite sure therefore if they missed something in the last few years and definitely not whole 2 as nothing would be developed before oculus presented touch to developers anyway. It will not be something with a lot of support either way.
@Tomasz In response to your other posts, the real disapointment here though is that PrioVR has 'missed the boat' with regards to being widely supported in games. In real terms they have lost 2 years of development time to react and move with the rapdly changing VR world.
The VR world is a completly different place than it was two years ago and while the YEI group was self destructing HMDs and other peripherals have moved on significantly.
Perception Neuron, for example, has appeared, been funded and been delivered (I have one) and that has nearly twice as many (30), much smaller sensors giving greater fidelity and allows the tracking of individual fingers not just the hand.
With less than 800 of these PrioVR suits out there I see this being a very niche product with limited or no support in any major titles. Unless there is some significant differentiating feature in PrioVR over the competition I'd suggest these suits are now going to be limited to medium fidelity motion capture and projects rather than mass adoption.
@Tomasz I like your positivity, as you'd see from my post below the comment about an extra suit I see no benefit in sueing these guys or being negative after waiting for some 2 years.
My comment about receiving an extra suit was added quickly and intended to be somewhat 'tongue in cheek' although I'm sure that didn't come across in my post as I meant to add a smiley but it was deleted as I posted my comment. ;-)
I agree it wouldn't be viable for them to send an 'extra' full suit to everyone but as you have suggested a couple of extra sensors as spares and/or a power pack would be nice though. :-)
please remain calm and look at positive side of things as I outlined lower! This is great opportunity for us to achieve great things instead of holding back.
Also please notice that lowest version of suit was nowhere near even 2x the price of the pro version. It was only 1.5x more expensive.
@David Hothersall please see and understand the are only around 150 people who pledged for suit below pro version versus over 530 who pledged for pro, it doesn't make much sense to get anything more from them if such majority got so much.
You also should be glad there will be no segmentation on the market and everything will be developed for full suit version and developers will not need to think about support for multiple configurations mostly.
But extra sensor in case of emergency would be nice
@Timothy i would say that app needs to be developed for priovr tracking mechanism for it to be supported. All of those will most likely be made with oculus in mind so people will make sure they are compatible.
Additionally right now you can use dk2 without camera, so I would imagine this could be easy fix for removing positional tracking from rift side and relying on priovr tracking for that functionality. So I wouldn't worry about it much.
@Tomasz, I want to know if i'll be able to use the suit with the consumer headsets. Full body VR tracking is the sole reason I backed this in the first place. Considering that both will have their own completely different tracking devices, I'm going to assume there will be compatibility issues with PrioVR suits... Considering HTC Vive (my headset of choice) has room scale VR, it's only a matter of time before full body tracking comes to that system. Again, i'm still glad to see progress after almost 2 years, but I'm just afraid it may be too late for these suits to catch on considering the progress made by Oculus and HTC.
@Scott, I understand how the lawyer's expenses are paid but we're still talking a cost that frankly isn't worth it considering the amounts pledged here and in the great scheme of things the small amount pledged overall.
Also I'd suggest that an action at this time is only likely to ensure that we never get anything and only a fraction of our pledges returned if anything and that's assuming it succeeds which as the project is still active in some form is not guaranteed.
I guess with you it's a point of principle but to be honest I prefer to mark such things down to experience and move on rather than obsessing over something that's in the past and just waste my time and energy.
@creater and team I am glad that this is not dead ?
as backer of PRIO-VR PRO. I am still glad I pledged because since the first demo I have wanted to shoot some zombies
as a cash injection point are you going to create a PRIO-VR VR-MEET UP ? online so backers can get together that bought your suit from kick-starter to pre orders to VR . so we can collaborate as a collective to make this the best it can be soon as the word it out that these suits have shipped arrived then every one has some where to meet up online ? this alone will sell you more suits to get back some $$$$
1.PRIO-VR PRO could you at least offer couple extra cables and sensors
to backers that paid top $$$$ just in case of any unforeseeable sensor fail or cable fail
I think this would be a good idea ?
2. what version of unity and unreal do you have working as a working software that backers can jump right in to from day one
3.are the hand controllers able to un plug ? and the sensor's because if I am going to use for mo-cap for my games and will be falling, fighting, climbing, hitting. I don't want to damage the controller's so the 2 extra sensors would be a must if they can not be taken out of the controllers otherwise this wont be good for mo-cap do you get my point ?
I am also glad that you are going to stick to a one suit design will make R&D on your side easer
my final Q whats the shipping eta that what we are all wanting to know ? real time not a guess or promise just truth
Tomasz, thank you!! You've just made me realize why it's a good thing that Oculus Touch is shipping separately, won't be in every Rift user's home and requires a separate camera for tracking: In essence, it's the 'endorsed' tracking solution, but it's an add-on all the same. That makes me hopeful that there will be room for a full-body solution like PrioVR, which is how I'd prefer to experience VR.
Well........Im glad to finally see something happening, and it finally looks like we as backers will be getting the suits we paid for......But honestly its been so long now that i think PrioVR is really kind of irrelevent as far as a VR tracking solution. Will this even be compatible with the consumer Rift and Vive headsets?
No @david as the lawyer's costs are divided by the number of people involved and the amount taken in damages determines his compensation. The cost of the lawyer is almost nothing in that scenario next to the cost of the suit and the bullshit we have to continually deal with due to this company and their false promises.
It is nice to see in the latest update that Mr. Yost and the crew are now fucking the people who provided more money to fund his convention parties by now given the people who bought upper body only sensor rig suits a full suit... yeah... seriously done with this companies bullshit... it is all getting old... having paid 3X the amount as someone who got the upper body only version I am resentful of this latest promise... and to be honest I am certain it is just more bullshit that will never happen but the fact they would promise this... it is an insult to everyone who paid more.
Looks like we're moving ahead and class actions will be unnecessary and distracting at a time when something is finally happening. (surely the cost of the lawyers exceed your pledge amount anyway?
Also nice that everyone is getting the 17 sensor suit which is a great thank-you if you didn't pledge for those during the campaign but what are we who did pledge the extra $100 or so going to get by way as a thank you?
A refund or something else to the same value? You need to be fair to everyone here guys considering how patient most of have been.
OK, I am going to have to contact my lawyer again. This game of kick the can has gone on long enough I thought we had this stuff worked out. I can manage a company that is late but not a company that is both late and lack communication. If anyone would like the information to contact my lawyer we can all go in for a class action against Mr. Yost himself. He is in charge so he should take the hardest hit if his company fails us. Thus far this has been an endless series of excuses when the truth is they have spent our money on parties early on instead of making our product.
Glad to see continued progress towards your stated aim of delivery in Q1 2016. I'm hoping the company now stable and able to fulfill it's early promise? Can you give us any detail to help add confidence going forward?

don't be fooled they are just rebranding names again if there ties from there farther brother sister company" priovr"
its all just to much to believe I said long time ago that they rename rebrand so they don't have to refund with there backers or fulfil people on here say the monies run out
this domain is paid for if you look at the other things been posted you will see ?
To my fellow backers, I got a bit restless waiting for new info, so I started snooping through the new CEO Greg Merril's linkedin page and found a couple of tidbits that might interest everyone.
First, YEI Technology has been renamed to YOST Labs. I interpret this to mean the company is still in the aftermath of splitting from YEI Corp, and so there's probably a lot going on behind the scenes that isn't product development. However, this seems like the company is surviving and plans to keep working towards releasing the PrioVR suit.
Additionally, both Merril and YOST Labs linkedin pages now state that PrioVR will be released "by CYE 2016". I'm rusty on my business acronyms, but this means "calendar year end", yes? If so, this might already be a many-month delay from their quarter 1 estimate from their last update.
the difference is they had told backers tec is designed working
Tec that's on the above picture we have saw working Tec from day one
my conclusion is that it was tec borrowed from there farther sister mother company prio-vr tec corp what ever there business names
that they sold us on the kick-starter the only thing they had to change is the Wii controller's because of Wii nun-chuck so the redesign taken couple of year's be fair
I offered them cash for 50% in company well over a year ago just to get this to mass market but they never even replied
its better to make 50% $$$$$ of something than 100% nothing at the min its a nothing a year ago could of been the next best thing to the oculus rift
@Firefly Delays are the name of the game when it comes to Kickstarter. I gave almost as much money to my first Kickstarter project for an even less tangible product and they're still creaking along after 4 years. Everyone has super optimistic timelines with underestimated budgets. Kickstarter was much easier to understand when you were actually kickstarting things and maybe getting something instead of buying things like a store.
Still excited about receiving these. Already lots of ideas. I knew it'd be a steal when I invested in the head to head pack, and its even more so now. Glad to see PrioVR still around, it was getting scary for a while there. Can. Not. Wait. :)
@Creator I would like to save you some money, so rather than send me a PrioVR Pro suit and lose money as per your underestimated costings, you are welcome to just refund my original pledge and be on your way...
Use this space to cheer the creator along, ask questions, and talk to your fellow backers. Please remember to be respectful and considerate. Thanks!

@ted milker
the difference is they had told backers tec is designed working
Tec that's on the above picture we have saw working Tec from day one
my conclusion is that it was tec borrowed from there farther sister mother company prio-vr tec corp what ever there business names
that they sold us on the kick-starter the only thing they had to change is the Wii controller's because of Wii nun-chuck so the redesign taken couple of year's be fair
I offered them cash for 50% in company well over a year ago just to get this to mass market but they never even replied
its better to make 50% $$$$$ of something than 100% nothing at the min its a nothing a year ago could of been the next best thing to the oculus rift
if you get my point
