Am I the only one that remembers the pigeon dating simulator? I missed when Jon did dating simulators often. I hope this sticks, because I feel like it's just becoming a fond memory. His channel used to be obscure funny oddball games with a seasoning of popular games and now I feel it has switched. But fuck if I am not happy to see tank dating.

Hatoful Boyfriend is actually what got me hooked on MATN, funny enough. He hasn't done that many dating sims over the life of his channel, maybe five or six. I wouldn't say he ever did them often, but he could always do more, in my opinion.

I remember this being brought up on /r/ShitWehraboosSay a while back, surprised it actually got released.

Anyways, I'll be posting technical stuff here as I watch the video:

The Panzer IV Ausf. F2 was essentially the Panzer IV except with a high-velocity 75mm gun and improved armor, designed in response to the Russian KV and T-34 tanks.

Edit 1: Nowhere in GABTU's requirements for the Panther and Tiger is the IS-2 listed, the IS-2 was designed as a breakthrough tank with tank-on-tank combat as a secondary concern. This is the reason the 122mm D-25T(It had a great HE shell) was chosen over a 100mm gun with superior AP performance. Also, about ~4,000 IS-2s were built compared to ~1,300 Tigers. Not sure why the IS-2 is the shy one. In fact, the US only encountered the Tiger 3(!) times in Normandy.

The IS-2 was fitted with the 122mm over the 100mm more because of logistics than performance. The supply of 122 shells and parts were in great supply.

Actually, it appears the 100mm gun was never intended to be used on the IS-2. They wanted a 122mm or 152mm from the start.

Just a bit of clarification. The IS-2 is a heavy tank, not a tank destroyer as you seem to be thinking. I think you are thinking of the ISU-152, which was the massive tank killer/pillbox destroyer.

He appeared to be under the impression that the IS-2 was designed in response to the Tiger/Panther, it was not. The IS-2 was a breakthrough tank intended to replace the KV-1.

The (I)SU-152, on the other hand, is an assault gun. It just happened to be really good at destroying tanks.

This is brilliant. I was laughing through almost the entire video, when I wasn't enjoy new and known tank facts. As a piece of satire/poking fun at dating sims, this may be one of the greatest games ever. These visual novel things usually bore me but this may be one I actually look into.

I look forward to more and hope Jon doesn't have a full on breakdown as he almost seemed to early in the video.
