This place is run by clowns and the generation Y crowd that voted them in is in complete fucking la-la land.

Honestly, I love the freefall plummet this city is in. Out of all the places in this country I've been to, it's the people in this city who need a fucking reality check.

This city is nothing special and it grows worse by the day. Get over it. Stop trying to be something you're not and that you can never ever be. That lunatic mayor has been at it for nearly a decade and living conditions are going down the shitter faster than a burger from Vera's Burger Shack.

Because my wife chose UBC. She can't afford it here either and she's transferring out for the next semester. I don't know how any of that works, but she's going to have to because these 10 hour days aren't paying the bills.

I mean I work and I like it here. Im always thinking I can't afford to buy a house in New York, Milan, Paris, London or Tokyo I can't afford one here either. Plus rent is really cheap here. You can grab a 1 bedroom condo downtown for 1200 dollars. That's not too bad.

Vancouver has so many things to offer and if you don't think so you're not looking very hard. Great university, can go skiing and surfing in the same day. Absolutely beautiful, nice people, low crime. It's no wonder people want to live here.

Go skiing and surfing in the same day? Just because you can't get off your ass to go try something new and exciting doesn't mean others don't. Plus I'm not saying it's advisable to do both of these things, I'm saying the weather is so moderate that both of things are possible.

I can see the fucking water from my place downtown. What the fuck else do you want, its gorgeous here.

Go to Boston, New York, Seattle and see how nice people are. We enjoy low crime and great public services. The price of single detached housing is expensive but renting is still really cheap compared to comparable cities.

I don't know what it is you're really angry about or what has you so jaded, but we're spoiled here. If you go to other cities it gets worse.
