One of Hyadain's Dragon Quest fan songs, this time featuring the cast of DQIV singing to the tune of Hairspray's "You Can't Stop the Beat". I'm still new to translating, so any comments or corrections are welcome! (I will be using annotations for sure, especially as soon as I figure out what Cristo/Kyril is singing at around
1:30
into the video!)
This is awesome lol. I've had reservations about getting DQIV, on account of the localization eliminated party talk and I've heard that as a result the characters appear really flat, but y'know what? I think Hyadain's filled in those blanks enough for me.
This is the most amazing video game inspired sing I've ever heard. Taloon is epic, obsessed with food just like dq8 Yangus. Go the cast of DQ4! Video Game Glee Club, go!
My favourite parts were when the male hero sang for the first time at 3:26 and the instrumental at the VERY end, when all the singing was done. Those parts choke me up a bit.
Thank you for the subtitles. Now that I understand the words, this song is even better. I'm still hoping for an actual video though. *crosses fingers*
+unabletowatchmits Thanks! It's because I don't know much about the japanese language, so I need to use english or spanish subs to make my translation to portuguese.
PS: The japanese caracters in the vid are Katakana, Kanji or Hiragana?
It may not be the best song by Hyadain, but god damn me if I said it was mediocre!
Very good translation, now we need to get this on Broadway!

+megamiun Sure! Its no problem, feel free to use my translation if it helps -- I think there are a few errors in my translation, but since I'm still learning I can't be certain.
I used Avidemux 2.4 to apply the subtitle file to the video - takes a bit of trial and error to get it working just right.
Good luck! :)
+unabletowatchmits I use Aegisub, but I use the english version, I didn't know there was a Portuguese Version. Now I already get used tyo the English version, so I think I will continue using the English version.
To insert the subs on the vid, you use which program?
:D
PS: Can I futurely use your lyrics of this music to subtitle this music to Portuguese?
+megamiun Thanks~
I've been learning how to use Aegisub (which is also available in Portuguese) It has bit of a learning curve, but for a free program it is pretty powerful - I heartily recommend it!
I think its awesome that you're providing translations as well - it means even more people get to enjoy these songs! :D
