Germany isn't that big (compared to North America), how long can you drive that fast in a straight line anyway?

Considering most of Germanys Autobahn does have speed limits and where there is a lot of traffic you won't reach nearly those speeds, not too long.

From Kiel in far northern Germany to Munich in southern Germany is about 870 km. If given perfect driving conditions (no traffic or posted speed limit), about 3.5 hours at 250 km/h.

This is not taking into account traffic and such, but is also not the absolute farthest you could go obviously. It's just a long distance city to city.
