There are some good reasons to keep such farm animals out of urban areas, and limit their amounts in nearing areas. This seems like it comes down to how restrictive and down to earth the limitations details are, rather than a cut-n-dry issue.

Sure. Most games support many platforms any more. It could be handle-held devices like Android and iOs, or it could be platforms like PC, OSX, XBox, Playstation, Wii, etc.

All Linux gaming needs is to be included in the supported platforms or to be able to work around that by supporting the Windows-only games with the massive progress in the Wine compatibility tool.

All big banks.

Bitcoin, along with extensions that add digital autonomous corporations, and smart contracts can fulfill all bank tasks like secure money storage, money transfer, loans, investments, funds, stocks, savings, and payroll, all in software.

Linux gaming is already doing well, but the MS monopoly on gaming is slowing the bigger blockbuster games' Linux support. Steam has many good games and even some bigger ones that are supported on Linux. There are thousands of games already for Linux, many of them free.

Many government are starting to make the investment of prying Microsoft Products out of their ass and moving to the much cheaper free open source only strategy. Some bigger countries will be last in line to make this move due to lobbying pressure and the cost of support and retraining. It will happen, just very slowly.

Did they build without a permit or where the houses already there? Did the French funded school that Israel bulldozed build without a permit? Are the non-Israelis able to get permits just as easy as Israelis? Are they approved by the same standards?

This sounds more like "no scarlet letters allowed" bureaucracy. You know, apartheid.

If you are a Mario fan, you might also want to check out. Secret Maryo Chronicles. It is a free, open source, 2-d game that is similar to the Mario line of games, but 'made it their own.' It also has a built in map editor that is easy to use.

I'm not sure how it compares to Mari0, but that looks cool too. I'll have to check it out.

I disagree. Block rewards are for securing the network. Fees are only to discourage spamming and dust. Block reward halving is designed to reduce supply and force the value of Bitcoin up through scheduled scarcity, so that the value of Bitcoin is high enough for these crumbs of fees to eventually be significant enough to replace the block reward in 20 years. If we force fees to be significant to miners now, we are defeating the genius 20 year plan.

That is a touchy issue in the US too. Our crime rates are also higher for minorities. Pointing this out is touchy based on context. Sometimes our best context intentions are convoluted when put in text and re-interpreted, though.

The main reason pointing the statistical fact out is touchy, come from us all knowing that the reason for the skewed crime rates is because of poverty, not race. Our society (in the US at least) still discriminates in ways that encourage a massively higher rate of poverty on these minorities. If it is not discrimination, then it is past discrimination and a mufti-generational lack of income mobility; if you were born poor, you stay poor and your kids will be poor.

Of course it works with fees...but breaking Bitcoin's system of rewarding miners with some fees, but mostly block rewards, to pump up fees to give them more rewards, is just shortsighted greed.

I don't think fees were ever meant to be significant or more than a crumb to miners, except during massive spam attacks and at the end of the block reward schedule.

Follow the money.

Who stands to profit massively from the extortion fee market that results from allowing blocks to fill and is starting to get nervous about profits over the coming halvening? ....miners.

Who, when not thinking accurately, or long term, or forget about the genius long term system already in place to reward miners are inclined to pander to miners because of their importance, even if it is clear they just want to extort users for short term gains? ...Devs.

It is funny how all the small-blockests have 'flipped the script' and started acting like those who don't want Bitcoin to die in delayed transactions and massive fees are somehow 'pushing an agenda'.

'Don't you dare fix Bitcoin before I can rake in fat cash due to inflated mining profits from to the fee extortion market during the coming halving!'
