Gender isn't biological, sex is biological. And there are more than 2 sexes not limited to the xy-male and xy-female (ie. X, XXY, XYY, XXXY).

All of those listed are still males or females, there are no males who have turner syndrome, and no females who have klinefelter syndrome.

But not traditional males or females. A male could be born with enlarged breasts, no facial and body hair, low testosterone, low muscle mass, and no production of sperm, at which point identity is more fluid than it would be with the traditional xy male.

There are also those that are born ambiguous with both sets of xx and xy chromosomes which cannot be listed as either male or female by sex, but can choose to identify with either gender or stay ambiguous. Nothing wrong with that.

As you said yourself, he'd still just be a male with the ability to identify as a woman, a horse, a suspension bridge etc.

People with XXYY are still males as females cannot have a Y chromosome because if they did, they would be males.

This is not true and most certainly not the concensus in the scientific community. It's not black or white. Having a Y chromosome does not always equate to being a sexual male. People can be born with a Y chromosome, have a uterus, and give birth. Males can also be born as XX without a Y chromosome. Or you could be born with both chromosomes and have both genitals and be a hermaphrodite.

They are genetically female, the subjects of that study happen to have some Y chromosome genes, but they are still genetically female. They can call themselves a man, but they're a woman genetically.

The real reason is to not label people that aren't trans as 'normal' (nothing to do with straight people). Since a majority of people aren't trans, there's never really a need to use 'cis' or 'cisgender' in everyday conversation. Plus, it's a weird sounding term; sounds like you're calling someone 'siss' or 'sissy-gender'. Sounds kinky to me.
