It's all emotional and so cannot be rational. To accuse one side of pandering to their base and not recognize that the other does it as well is equally irrational. It just comes down to the quality of the base. The KKK is not endorsing or offering their support to the Sanders or Clinton campaigns. Regardless of whether Drumpf disavowed their support or not, what he says appeals to them. They are part of his base and you are the company you keep.
