Hello, please let me know the process of refund. This appears to be delayed quite a bit than expected. I was hopping to give this as a gift to my wife, on her birthday this mont but looks will wait for the eye catcher to be available at regular price for future. Thanks all the best with your project
Please clarify delivery schedule. If there are any showstoppers please provide all of us with an update.
Beside the button below I read the message "verhalte dich respektvoll und höflich", which means in english language "behave respectfully and politely."
It's just past time for a monthly update, project creators! Try keeping regular a monthly schedule of updates, rather than leaving us hanging. Knowing a regular update is coming at a given interval (and then actually being updated) is good for the confidence, and good for your reputation. You don't have to hold out for new that may come a few days after the monthly update to post—post thr major update, then a mini follow up.
Basically: keep us informed. Because currently you're only doing that erratically, which is not good.
I'm not worried about the delivery time as long as there is a delivery time. Not keeping people informed is not good. I would hope that we can at least have an update every two weeks. Not too much to ask for and you do have our money after all
Could you give us an estimate on when project completed, can't tell if will be a month or a year? Maybe an update every 2 weeks? We do not care about the box. Sorry, just the product.
Hi lookseelabs
I've been thinking. Maybe the eyecatcher could give an out of sync warning if the phone gets disconnected, so we know for example the displayed time is not recent. Or does it already?
Thank you for the nice update. Everyone on here was freaking out so this should help put a few minds at ease. Although I do agree with Sam Kirk about both the packaging and the time line for delivery.
First, I hope the packaging does reflect a $300 dollar item instead of your typical boring cardboard box. This screams high end as it's something that hasn't been done before and it would be nice if the packaging reflected such an item/experience.
Second, I'm still incredibly scared about the sizing information. I would hate to have this product shipped to Korea and having it not fit around my wrist. It will render it useless. Is there any way of making any sort of pdf printout with the actual sizes that we could cut out and wrap around our wrists as Jarrod Teo has suggested before? This would help a lot.
Finally, and this isn't really a question, with all the planned testing and assembly and shipping dates for your parts, I highly doubt we'll be seeing this item anytime soon. I have a feeling that delivery will end up being pushed to June or July. Personally, I am ok with this but I am sure many people aren't. I know you can't comment on delivery dates at the moment as nothing is set in stone and things happen, but if you could just keep us posted about delays we'd love to know about that.
Again, best of luck with the project, and I can not wait to get my hands on one.
May I make a suggestion?
Perhaps the box that Eyecatcher comes in can be a more "jewellery" looking as well as a charging station.... What do you think?
Also, may I ask, how are you doing for timescale on delivery?
Is there a chance for Eyecatcher to be delivered by Valentine's Day or by the end of February for the 29th, being a leap year?
I say this as you have displayed "Feb 2016" on the campaign.
Hi looksee team
Is it already possible to change the ordering datas like: size, typos...?
Latest news was:
"We have several tens of prototype displays that we will assemble and test with the new subsystems arriving in Jan-Feb."
I guess LS needs to do some work with the new subsystem before something interesting happens. I'm rather confident because they didn't promis too much "crazy" features :-)
The team has always been up front about wanting to reconsider some of the components—a delivery delay is hardly unexpected, especially when it comes to small-scale production reliant on multiple manufacturers for parts. It's not ideal, but I do think other backers need to readjust their expectations when it comes to Kickstarter.
Thanks to the creators we're being kept well in the loop, which is great.
Hi Dave
Of course we checked. Ours is a relatively small order, and it is understandable that the factory prioritizes larger paid orders. We are creating something brand new, and unfortunately sometimes there will be surprises that we have little control over. The best we can do is plan in advance, and adjust as best as we can to the latest information.
We have several tens of prototype displays that we will assemble and test with the new subsystems arriving in Jan-Feb. Final assembly and delivery is expected to begin when we receive our production displays in Mar-Apr.
I totally concur with Dave Carlyle and digirra, delays are not the way to go, and at such an early stage.
The last thing I want is a project creator giving delivery dates that they cannot adhere to and worse still delaying delivery to the point that the Eyecatcher ends up being old technology... Something that too many creators in the past have done.
The whole point of crowd funding is to invest in the latest technology and receive it BEFORE it become past technology.
I hope Eyecatcher can be transparent as well as keeping to delivery commitment
From Backer Only Update #10 you state ..."Our display vendor says that because other display customers are making bigger orders now, our (smaller) delivery will not be available in Jan-Feb as planned but is pushed to Mar-Apr. "
Surely you checked with this supplier prior to launching this campaign for delivery assurances?! So right off the bat we are faced with a delay because after receiving the displays they will have to be inserted/assembled, tested and then shipped... in all reality we are looking at least a June or later delivery and a far cry from the Feb delivery in the campaign ... not a great start I'm afraid. Am I correct here?
Better to be honest and transparent now and temper our expectations than lead people down a garden path ...
@kickass
AFAIK it is possible to print the document in its original size.
In the Adobe PDF Reader printing dialogue select either "Actual Size" (and select the right paper format) or better "Custom Scale: 100%" .
So it's possible to create a ruler that consists of 3 sections (sizes S to L).
Hi Backers
Many have told us that they completed their survey incorrectly, or wish to change their entries. Unfortunately the KS survey is not very user-friendly since you can't make changes.
We are collecting all the info, and will be sending you Google Forms with the data for you to check or change.
Hi Everybody
The KS survey tools are not very user friendly :( You can't edit your response if you change your mind (...and we can't send you another survey). Don't worry :)
We are collecting all the KS survey info and will be sending you a Google Form (user editable) where you can validate or correct your info. To do this, we need your EMAIL --so please send the KS survey back ASAP. Thanks!
Hi guys thanks for the sizing update. This is for my wife and her wrist is measuring in at 170 mm so what size should I take L or M in Mercury? This would help me greatly make the right choice for her. Sorry for the delay in completing my response questionnaire.
Congratulations to a good kickstart!
I am filling in the survey and I am having trouble deciding size. I am a male, going for Mars. My wrist is 190 mm and that is exactly between M and L. Should I go with medium because the flexible design?

Eyecatcher prices on our website are for continued pre-orders, and are much higher than Kickstarter prices. All prices go up when pre-sales ends.

I have an idea.
1) Other than putting up a sizing chart.
2) Put up printable paper of the Eyecatcher which can help backers to measure a Small, Medium and Large.
Hope this helps you and the backers.
