looks over alumni list and weffey, and kickme444, and...

I left a few weeks ago. It's nothing against the company - I still love reddit - but the 3 hours a day commute was slowing killing me. Unfortunately, there's really nothing reddit could do about that other than open a South Bay office, which would have exactly one employee. (I don't like working remotely.)

nooooooooooooo

I kept seeing you in threads casually talking about some new features you implemented as casually as the weather (when that kind of thing used to be once in a blue moon) and you'd actually listen to people's suggestions. you were the face of the resurgence of the admins, for me.

I know you'll probably say there're still good folks working at reddit, but dude, we'll miss you. What's next for you, if you don't mind my asking?

Much more often I casually talked about the things other people implemented; I just talk more than they do. ;)

There are. Many of them are less public with their talk, but they are often the ones driving these decisions.

I don't mind you asking, but the (new) company rules prohibit me from talking about it.

That's fair; still, it was a lot more communication than we used to get, post-golden era. I sometimes doubted whether the changes being planned were really going to go anywhere, but your efforts definitely made it feel as though they really were.

Alright. While some of the things that have changed (not least of which being the all the good folks reddit's lost) have me and others keeping an eye on the horizon for newer prospects, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Conspiracy theories about creative differences aside, mostly everyone who's left seems to have left amiably enough; so I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.

Whoa

that xiong's a SPAH

Anyways. Onwards and upwards, eh?
We'll miss you, man. You were one of the best.

It's a shame to see you go! You were very helpful and responsive on a number of reddit-help type subreddits. :)

Thanks. It is my intention to still be around in those as much as I can.
