Ah okay, so you're implying here that no one is allowed to read between the lines and/or apply past experience. We cannot infer from "I'm all ears" re: a discussion about mental illness that the author likely in fact thinks of religion as a mental illness. No, we are limited to interpreting only the words on the screen and nothing else. Despite its absurdity, I can accept this limitation.
