I think A) is the perfect condition for the saying "It's all fun and games until...".

And there has to be an easier way for B) than dealing with that low of a stress tolerance.

It all depends on whether you assume that this is an isolated incident, or symptomatic.

When I said symptomatic, I meant "beyond those fringe incidents when it's actually tumble-weeds", but something about this situation that would be transferable to different situations.

I think uncreative6 was extending the behaviour to other situations that might trigger this type of breakdown. I can understand how he would rethink a relationship if the partner tilts this hard semi-frequently.

Well, maybe not after the incident itself, but the likely debates about him having laughed and not taking her serious might have done me in.

It's such a weird thing to be so irrational about, I can see why you would think that the underlying problem would be quite a heavy drain on the patience of a partner.
