I am sure some backers missed our team intro down in the comments section. But since our team still hold full time jobs, it is not convenient to publicise everyone as of this moment. But as for myself, (Phiona) I have already reported to my Company I am doing this. As this campaign is ending soon, we are in process of switching to work on ZNAPS full-time. This is so we can continue to deliver ZNAPS and all future accessories.

Risks and challenges
With a product that is this minimal with very intricate tiny parts, the main challenge is quality control. Thus, we have gone through great lengths to choose our manufacturing and supply partners very carefully, to ensure they are well equipped to handle a project of our tiny size. Another challenge is the size of our order. With a larger order, the cost will be minimized. However, the manufacturing time will be lengthened and the tooling will have to be a higher quality as well. That is a balance we will monitor very closely or we will have delays to the shipping schedule. If that were to occur, we will always keep all backers up to date and in the loop, as we understand the importance of communication and we really want to share this entire experience with you all.

Yes. ZNAPS can support Quick Charge 2.0.

Yes. ZNAPS supports data transfer when connected to your computer’s USB port.

No. The magnetic field is negligibly small compared to a normal mobile device.

A small LED is featured on ZNAPS to indicate charging status.

Please note that ZNAPS in this Kickstarter is specifically for Micro-USB and Lightning
cables. It is currently NOT compatible with USB-C. However, there's a USB-C stretch goal waiting to be unlocked! If this campaign goes well, USB-C ZNAPS is definitely a possibility! -
Yes. ZNAPS allows you to connect either side facing up. Connect without thinking.

It is important to understand that ZNAPS connects by magnetic force and not by friction. ZNAPS and your mobile device will likely separate when the device is held facing down or by forceful movement.

We don't have such a plan at the moment. The current ZNAPS connector has a flat design that is meant to allow easy unplugging when needed.

The Znaps connector has a silicone ring that does the work of preventing water from getting into your phone port, no matter case shape.

If we made the whole cable to connect, it would've violated Apple's patent.

Our patent lawyer did a patent search before we started the project. This is one of the reasons why we didn’t develop ZNAPS into a whole charging cable. We haven’t infringed on Apple's patent.

Znaps is compatible with Micro-USB 3.0, however the design on the Galaxy S5 charging port cover cannot be closed with Znaps in the charging port.

ZNAPS does not enhance nor impede charging speeds and data transfer.
The exposed parts are nonconductive, so you don’t have to worry about electric shocks. -
No, the Micro-USB and Lightning versions are not interchangeable, as their shape, size, and internal components are different.

Apple MFI certification is one of the things we’re looking into.

The silicone ring allows for a narrow space between connector and phone, just big enough for your fingernail. So it fits snuggly and still able for you to remove with just your fingers
