well, there is a lot of stuff in the box because it contains things I take to friend's houses. It's basically glove box sized box full of things but it has a handle for carrying it

That's... Not true. The Supreme Court has ruled that the fact that cars are mobile and operated in a public place means that obtaining a warrant for a search of a vehicle would be impractical; therefore a search for a vehicle only requires articulable probable cause. Also you have a much lower expectation of privacy in a car. US v. Ross.
