Allies could not have won without Britain, or America, or Russia etc etc.

Nonsense. America could have won without britain and russia. America could have won all by itself. When you control the seas, skies and nukes, you can beat anyone.

It was a team effort with many pivotal moments by all sides.

Others helped. But they were not necessary.

If you truly believe the "allies" won, then do you think the allies could beat US, germany and japan? Had the US allied with the axis, would the allies have won? Of course not.

Britain not necessary?
Without Britain, the Americans would have had no base to orchestrate the invasion of Nazi occupied Europe. Without the British, the Americans would never have been able to intercept and read Nazi encoded transmissions - ever head of the Enigma machine? Without Britain, the Americans would have had no airstrips to gain air supremacy anyway. How many carriers did you think they had? Without Britain's established authority in the air, including attacking of German cities, the Americans would never have been able to gain air supremacy.

Russia not necessary? Without Russia, there would have been far too many German divisions in the West to possibly open a second front. Without Russia, the backbone of the German Armour would never been broken at the battle of Kursk. Without Russia the Japanese would have been able to deploy it's enormous armies in Manchuria against the Americans.

In fact did you know that the Russians DESTROYED the Japanese armies at Kohlkhin Gohl in 1937 so severely that that Japanese were too 'afraid' to open a second front against Russia despite their alliance with Germany? And then when Russia attacked Japan Manchuria in 1945, they killed/captured over 700,000 Japanese soldiers? That was more than the size of the Japanese forces defending the island of Kyushu.

Yes a lot of this was thanks to American supplies and weapons. Except that the Americans had no people, and could get no people to work these weapons in Siberia, Manchuria, Ukraine or Russia. They had no people to man the RAF or Royal Navy. How the fuck do you think America could have won the war on it's own?
