I just want to sleep. How hard is it for them to not light a bunch of fireworks outside my window every freaking 15 minutes; could they just do it all at once to get it over with? Dammit.

Maybe if traditional stuff wasnt done so half assed it would be a good holiday. No one has been happy because all the bullshit stuff has been done with little to no respect. The tomb sweeping i gave up on years ago because how disrespectful and zero meaning it has. I can only talk about my wifes family but holidays everyone wants to leave but so eager to arrive

My first ever experience of CNY celebrations was when my Chinese neighbours saw the sense of letting off their fireworks in the actual corridor of the building, next to my apartment door.
