I'm displeased with Rand for dropping out after beating both BUSH AND CHRISTIE in Iowa.

Was he that broke?

I gave him money multiple time as I'm sure a lot of others did here.

He should have stayed in there - gone to the debates - and spread the liberty message as long as he could have like his dad did.

Now he has lost the national and world stage and will go off into obscurity just like the GOP wanted and the right wing media hoped for.

Now bastards like Hannity, Medved, Levin, Limbaugh, Beck etc can all cream their jeans at the news that Rand is gone.

They all MAKE ME SICK!!!

Looks like Gary Johnson this November for me again, but lately he's been sounding a little too hawkish.  If he turns into a war-monger I won't vote for him either.

What is the category of this post? (choose up to 2):

If he's on the ballot in my state I'll go vote for him.  After that I'm done.  I only promised to vote for Rand because of his father.  Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result each time.  I'm done living in an insane world.  From now on,  I'm gonna live for me and mine.  Sanity awaits.

I know he has zero chance of winning, but I think he's really going on for liberty, so this is good.

It becomes sadder and sadder to hear ppl here expect others to do things they themselves are not doing and to see ppl expecting so much out of such a small group of people in the movement. That has always been a flaw in this movement ppl coextensive so much from a few ppl then complain when those ppl get burnt out

I have given MONEY to Rand several times.

How about you?

Giving a campaign you believe in money IS doing something!!!

So ya gave a $20 here n there or maybe a little more from time to time that's barely a drop in the bucket.

And I just read your other post about Ron running as well which proves my point as he had officially retired and is 85 and has run 3xs now but that's not good enough for you guys you want him to spend his golden retirement years serving your wants and needs

Before the Iowa caucus, Rand said that he thought that the polls were wrong and that he would finish in Iowa much better than the polls indicated. He also said that if you don't do well in Iowa you can't expect to do well in NH. So the polls were right--or at least not significantly wrong. Paul did the honorable thing by conceding and not stringing his followers along with false hope and asking for more money.

BTW, John McAfee will most likely be the libertarian candidate.

this crowd has been saying that for yrs bout Ron and rand but clearly the polls were never as wrong as we thought and or hoped and rand proved that

Or the caucus was just as rigged as the polls are. I mean really, Rubio in a dead heat with Cruz and Trump at the top of the pack? How? Where is the enthusiasm for Rubio? Who talks about Rubio? Rubio is the Republican version of Hillary. His last debate performance was nothing but breathless, panicked answering, and war-mongering.

Pat calls Rubio 'the Remainderman.' What you have left after you take out populists, nationalists, conservatives.

He gave a nice speech and got out with grace.

that's been an issue for him the whole time. You said you gave $$ a few times along with others. How much did you give? I'm sure you gave as much as you could afford and even if it was in the hundreds his competition had donors giving millions. Running 1 or 2 ads would have cost as much as some of his recent moneybombs and that doesn't factor in all the other costs involved with running a presidential campaign. The $$ was never there.

Don't lose hope, as I said last year, this wasn't too surprising. Besides, it's only a temporary setback.

Four things I would point out:
1 Rand has learned a lot over the campaign and is way better at it than he was when he started; he will be even better in 2020.
2 After four years of Hillary, Red Team will likely have swung back to a slightly more anti-war position in reaction to Hillary's wars.
3 With an incumbent Democrat, the youth vote will have no glamorous, anti-war socialist to siphon them away in Iowa.
4. The Free State Project just hit it's mark, which means that within five years 20,000 libertarians should be moving to New Hampshire. If 4/5 of them are there by 2020, that's an extra 6% (based on 2012 primary vote numbers) that can easily be persuaded to vote for Rand.

Take a breath, take a break, work on local stuff, then we storm the gates of hell.

Gary pissed me off on a few issues as of late. Was not too keen on his amnesty stance, especially when he was calling Trump a racist. He sounded like a social justice warrior. I will probably still vote for him nonetheless.
