Compared to other western nations, we are free. We actually have free speech, we can arm ourselves, and we have the right to self-defense.

Our problem is corruption and lack of oversight. Apathy from the general population.

Corruption is everywhere, even in western countries. But the corruption by lower employees of the state is higher when poverty is common.

I'm not saying other western nations don't have corruption. I'm saying America is much more rife with corruption and cronyism.

America is corrupt as everyone else. The US is different by having a different mind about humans. It's a society with atomized individuals and everyone tries to show how much of a winner he is. Because that doesn't work out when only few can be winners, Many of the losers going against weaker individuals to be a winner for a moment. The police histories of the US showing symptoms of this thinking. Take a look at Hollywood movies, the idea of becoming a winner against all others is very strong. I'm remembering an interview of an west African, who was horrified of the treatment of older family members in the west. They have still a relationship between individuals in the family.

Fuck off. No you don't. Why do you fucking idiots always repeat this dumb shit? You're normal human beings like everyone else on the planet.

It was worded kind of awkwardly, but the US is a more individualistic society than most others.

Reading the rude tone of your post is convincing me I'm on the right side. Civilized citizens writing different.

Two of your three points mention firearms. Do all Americans equate freedom with being allowed to possess weapons? Third world citizen asking here.

Which civilized first world nation doesn't have free speech? The only difference (from say Europe, Australia, Japan...) is that you guys can legally own firearms, which to me personally doesn't represent any significant amount of extra freedom.

No country really has free speech, but the US has far less restrictions on it than almost anywhere else.

The UK is exceptionally bad, over there it's literally illegal to insult someone. Seriously.

We "actually" have free speech but can't say "tits" on TV or radio. Got it.

I'll believe you when a town decided it had enough with this bullshit so they shoot the sheriff and the deputies and don't get whipped off the map. Otherwise guns are lethal toys.
