Ok, so I went to crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskMark/index-e.htm and it installed something called troveli? I dunno, I think I've removed it now with malwarebytes but where is a safe download for it pls? one thing I absolutely hate is my homepage not going to googlechrome

annoys the crap out of me that reliable programs like this allow it, some third party sites fair enough, but this is direct from the program (i think)

I just use the portable versions of that kind of software whenever possible... No adware or malware there.
CrystalDiskMark does have an official portable version, if it didn't, I'm sure there would've been one available on portableapps.com

Install Unchecky. It'll uncheck those boxes for you.
