Have you ever worked security detail in a prison? All it takes is ONE guard to not like this guy or what he did and "whoops, did I leave his door unlocked? That sucks, what else is on?".

When you are working in a prison where realistically, youre outnumbered constantly, you do things that bring in "favor". I cant count the amount of times it was heavily implied that if some of the prisoners didnt get access to a new inmate who had killed or raped children/women that itd be me, sorry, me going home to my family safe and sound is more important than upholding a monsters rights.

You are right. They can go into protective custody to avoid other inmates. But, that involves being locked up for 23 hours a day and 1 hour of rec time (sometimes alone).

That is a penalty worse than death for most.

It is much more likely other Muslims may protect him in gen pop under the warning that any funny business and they will stop protecting him.

When I asked for any sort of proof earlier, I was downvoted. So far, I have yet to see anything that bolster's /u/VirginWizard69's assertion that "The Muslims are taking over that state".

It was a bold claim. I was hoping he'd have some bold evidence to support it.

Minnesota isn't really being taken over by Muslims. The state is still one of the most whitest in the state (87% white according to the American Census Bureau). Non-Christian faiths are 5% in the city of Minneapolis. There are thousands of Somalis in the city though.

Minnesota however does have a Muslim representative (Keith Ellison).

I think that Mark Dayton being one of the governors that won't oppose to Syrian resettlement in his state probably would be a reason, although personally, I think that the Syrians would probably stay in Minneapolis and St. Paul and it would probably be a trickle of them (although Obama's term is getting closer to it's end).

I go to school on the east bank, where the stores behind my bus stop have bars on the windows, and my girlfriend goes to school in St. Paul two blocks away from one of the most crime ridden areas of the twin cities (Snelling and University). In a couple months I turn 21 and I could care less about being able to buy alcohol, first thing I'm doing is getting my conceal and carry. Walking around down there at night... Your head has to be on a constant swivel some places.
