Republican presidential candidate Dr. Rand Paul has truly been having one hell of a week. He was demoted from the main stage for tonight’s GOP debate on Fox Business. He protested that by refusing to participate, then asked Fox to put him back in his rightful place. Meanwhile, his proposed “Audit the Fed” bill failed in the Senate. Today, Paul has had enough and he made it known.
While appearing on ABC News Radio and talking with Aaron Katersky, he said, “To be artificially designated in some kind of lower, second tier sends a signal to the voter that you’re not the same and don’t have a chance.” He insisted that Fox’s decision to bump him off the stage is inconsistent with poll numbers.
When the conversation turned to the media, Paul had a very special message for his new foes.

Well, actually, he was relaying a message from his fans to the foes. “Ninety-nine percent of our supporters are calling in and saying —,” he said as he raised his middle finger to fill in the blank, “for the media, that’s where you can go.”
Jeb Bush might have gotten advice from DJ Khaled last night, but Rand Paul seems to be the only one who listened to the rapper’s 2013 album and took the line, “middle finger to ‘em all, I’mma make ‘em pay,” to heart. Where’s Paul Ryan to decry the degradation of (the race for) the presidency when you need him?
Tonight, for any interested parties, Paul will be hosting an online town-hall while the debates take place.
