HOW TO MOVE NON-ALOWABLES
Prior to packing for your move, it is essential that you review the list of items which cannot be shipped because they are perishable, irreplaceable, or hazardous. Please review and revise your packing accordingly:

Any food item. plant, or living thing which could spoil or die in transit ** Examples include frozen foods, opened food products, produce, refrigerated foods, plants (refer to our “How To Move My House Plants” section).
**In cases where shipping is less than 150 miles and will be picked up within 24 hours of delivery, some agents may agree to transport perishables as long as are properly packed and require no type of in-transit service.
NOTE: All refrigerators and freezers should be completely empty. The doors of these appliances should remain open for at last 24 hours in advance of loading and shipping. This will ample time for drying and prevent mold growth.
PERSONAL/SENTIMENTAL ITEMS
This category eliminates the possibility of any keepsake or irreplaceable items being lost or damaged in transit. We strongly suggest any items fitting this description be moved by you personally and not as part of your shipment of items.
