Yes the cost is part of it but I'm also not willing to upgrade hardware this soon after the January upgrade.
I think the current 8TB is pretty decent for a hobby project.
I really need to start looking at SSD's for the next upgrade rather than just more hard drives or maybe both.

I should say that I'm also investigating other possibilities for old full images. Like zipping them up and making them available for download on some other service.

That is what we have done all along. Just click View same and notice that all the image links go to same image(one copy per board).
