I have never had a problem with New Egg but TeejIRL is right, we are adults and can control companies with our money, we do not need a big brother government like our slave European socialist friends we left behind over 200 years ago, except where it endangers the lives of citizens (Enron etc). You have already done a lot by posting this. Personally, I would take issue with it and write a letter of complaint to the CEO. One protection we have as consumers is companies must be held accountable for their CEO's whereabouts and identity and give out the address of the CEO for mailing purposes. I have had good results many times from writing a letter to the CEO.

Funny you call us that, European consumer protection laws are the best in the world. Mandatory 14-day returns, and thanks to them you can now do refunds on Steam.

Speaking as a "slave European socialist," you're not my friend.

Err the state of your country says otherwise.

Which will get you absolutely nowhere. Meanwhile in the UK you could make a case with trading standards who could actually help you.
