Submission Guidelines

Please read the rules and these guidlines before posting.

Link Submissions

In most cases you should make a text submission, but there are a few reasons to post a link.

Please do post: PC building guides, tutorials and announcements regarding relevant new hardware or retailers.

Please don't post: memes, jokes, images, sales, deals, pictures of your computer, rumors, or anything that should be a text submission.

Text Submissions

Most text submissions require a tag. Choose the most appropriate one, and type it in the beginning of the submission title:

[Build Help] - if you need help deciding what parts you should buy. This applies to both new builds and upgrading old ones. This is not for being spoonfed builds.

[Build Ready] - if you have chosen your parts and want someone to look over the build before you buy it

[Build Complete] - if you have completed your build and want to show it off (this usually involves pictures; please use imgur.com)

[Troubleshooting] - if you are having trouble putting together or powering up your new build. You might also try /r/techsupport.

[Discussion] if you want to start a discussion about a certain aspect of PC building.

If your submission does not fit under these categories, don't use a tag. If you are unsure which tag to use, message the moderators for help.

[Discussion] NewEgg misrepresented their stock and unfairly profited as a result. Am I the only one who finds this conduct inappropriate? Their customer service says "it's all part of the process." (self.buildapc)
