If Jesus Christ Was Here Today Preaching The Same Message As Rand Paul, He Would Also Be Polling At 3%...

...Why???

BECAUSE THE REPUBLICANS DON'T WANT TO HEAR A MESSAGE OF PEACE!

It's just that simple.

Just had to say that because it has occurred to me a lot lately.

NOTE: I'm not comparing Rand to Jesus. I'm pointing out that no matter WHO would put forth a message of peace and non-intervention, the GOP would want nothing to do with them.

Atilla the Hun would be killing it on stage, both literally and figuratively, with his radical policy proposal of letting "the enemy" pay for the war by setting up tributary states wherever the US mechanized horde has been and funding current campaigns with looting and pillaging.

Barabbas was a criminal who was in prison when Jesus was brought to trial. Pilate offered the people a chance to free one prisoner of their choice, thinking they'd choose Jesus--but they asked for Barabbas' release instead.

but one who incited riots and rebellion of the Jews against the Roman Empire. He was the king the Jews wanted to save them by leading them into battle against the occupier.

Jesus came to forgive their sins for good. Not to make war against the state in the now but to ensure his people's preservation for eternity. The Jews wanted vengeance not a messiah.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

didnt mean they all didnt deserve it. My point is that no matter what time Jesus lived in most would not like his message. Oh sure they like that he heals people, and that he gives them free food, but once he starts telling you to love your enimies, and starts pointing out how you are a hypocrit or goes into your temple and starts flipping over tables because you are breaking the law and profiting from it, they will crucify him. Then theres that whole thing about Jesus being the only way to heaven. Talk about going after a mans pride. You have to go through Jesus to get to heaven, you cant do it yourself. can you believe Jesus would say that?

...the "religious" and "Christian" inhabited GOP are war-mongering Arab-hating Neo-Cons who love to hear Ted Cruz say he would carpet bomb the mid-east.

So I was illustrating that these do called "Christians" in the GOP are anything but that and no matter who had a message of peace they don't want to hear it.

Truth is never popular. If you look in history how many followers had Noah? What about Jeremiah? Isaiah? John the Baptist? So like in the south, when a huge percentage claim to be Christian, the question is, are they really following the claims of Jesus? Is it biblical what they are doing and saying? Something to think about...

South Carolina booed Dr. Paul in the debates when Ron quoted Christ by suggesting maybe we should use the Golden Rule a little more in our foreign policy.

But the weapons-makers and military industrial complex in SC sure as hell don't want to hear THAT message.

That's the problem. Jesus was not preaching the same message as Rand Paul. He wasn't running for political office. Jesus also had the advantage of performing many eyewitnessed miracles. Peace was just a part of Jesus's message, so this comparison is a stretch. I'm sure that if Rand performed one eyewitnessed miracle, there would be video of it. It would go viral & the other candidates would simply not be able to compete. I would be very careful comparing Rand to Jesus. Rand to others, yes. To the Son of God, no.

George Orwell coined this word in his dystopic novel "1984".

Doublethink: deliberate, perverse, or unconscious acceptance or promulgation of conflicting facts, principles, etc

Personally I have observed that this is a natural tendency of the human mind. It can be and has been exploited by rulers to serve their own purposes but it is also the source of hypocrisy and paradox. No doubt this is why Orwell drew attention to it.

Speak and act as those who will be judged by a law that gives freedom. For judgment is merciless for the one who has shown no mercy. (James 2:12-13) But be careful that this liberty of yours does not become a hindrance to the weak.(1 Cor. 8:9)

If it were Jesus, here on earth at this particular time, he would be polling at approximately 1%. Not 3%, you were just a tad too optimistic.

Oh, lest we forget the heartless (literally) satan, Dick Cheney. He would be polling at least 20%, I would think. Swing low, swing low, great c-h-a-r-i-o-t. Comin' for to carry you home - Dick!

Peace and goodwill toward man, for what it's worth.

I was saying 3% because that is approx where Rand is polling.

But it may be optimistic for sure.

... and it was the leaders of the "church of His day" who was His fiercest enemies... the more things change the more they stay the same... Mt. 23 applies as much to the clergy of today as it did 2,000 years ago... if anyone ever hears a sermon preached based on Mt. 23, let me know... don't hold your breath... today's clergy are as thick as thieves with the GOP's Politburo... and devoid of power... once you sell your soul to a 501(c), you've lost the plot... writing this from home... about ten years ago, I would have been in church, but when they booed Ron Paul and labeled him an anti-Semite, I knew it's time to bail from this 501(c) farce... give your tithes to Rand Paul... he is doing God's work...
