I made a comment elsewhere busting balls about the term "research" and peer review and familiarity with the field at hand.
If said people have never taken safety courses, stripped, cleaned and assembled guns, and god forbid ever gone to the range for a good time - then I find they have practically nil qualifications in this subject.
