As other reviewers have done, I've used the Tier System as extra compression straps for my Rush 12 and 24 and MOAB 10. I have used them for it's assigned purpose, but I like it much better as compression straps.
Now if 5.11 can sell the Tier System in all the colors the packs come in...
I didn't get this to combine 2 bags, I bought this to add another strap near the bottom of the bag to make a compact fit.
Wished that the flat bottom area would have areas to add this as well but it didn't and it doesn't bug me that much.
I use these to replace the velcro straps on my molle body armor. They make getting my armor on and off much easier and they work perfectly. It's not what they're designed for but it works very well.
Attached straps to Rush 24 and used as compression straps further down side of pack and over rhe top of pack. Single comprseeson strap on rush 24 is inadequate on an otherwise outstanding piece of equipment. Held up great moving through South Korea.
I bought the RUSH Tier System to help add an large 3ft round duffle (non 5.11 brand) to my Rush 24 pack for when I need to move large amounts of gear back and forth from camp to the vehicle. I really enjoyed how easy and well thought out these extra strap work. I couldn't ask for a better product.
Just want in in black.
I started to use the RUSH TIER SYSTEM to replace a carabiner system to mate a large GO bag to my backpack for helicopter travel at work.
I love the simplicity of connecting the quick-release buckles and straps to my bags and their ease of use. I have used the other pair of buckle-receivers on my back pack to house the quick-release end of the strap to keep them out of the way when not in use.
As a load bearing piece of equipent, I have not had it long enough to put it through its paces. But I look forward to it's use to help keep my hands free while moving to and from the helicopter.
these straps are pure money. i've had a MOAB 10 for 45 days now and carry it every day for work and play. i just connected these straps to my army ruck and they work awesome. they really work well when you have to carry a lot of bags, ie. when you're deploying or going to the field. these straps free up the need to carry two bags. when you get to where you're going, disconnect the smaller bag when you drop off your ruck and move out.
