  8. Super Soup says:

“You should now be able to run all of your digital games on the PSTV. Enjoy!” Does that mean this only works with games downloaded from PSN, not physical games?

  9. Reprep says:

Great article thanks. Also PSTV writer can be used to prepare Vitas for e-mail writing too i suppose.

  10. Mister says:

cant wait for a zombie hack tho
    works like a charm xDDD

  14. lollypop says:

    so when uve whitelisted …
and ur playing cod blops declass …
how do u get past the tutorial …
when the tut needs u to touch touchscreen …
and it seems impossible without a button remap.
but ds3 or ds4 doesnt do it.
    sixaxisremap.lprx ?

  15. piotrekhenry says:

    Partially works.
I was able to launch Disgaea 3, but I was unable to launch Hatsune Miku Project Diva f.
I guess the whitelist itself needs some work.

  16. lollypop says:

    correction: it works with ds4.
if u go to hold ps button
then click use touchpointer on game.

  17. kaneshirex says:

Does the email have to be attached to a PSN ID that needs to be signed in or can it be any created email and not signed into PSN?

  18. Adam says:

Awesome. Tried and worked successfully. Thanks mr. Gas and qwikrazor very much.

  19. kaneshirex says:

I have tried to get the emails sent to a hotmail and a yahoo account and I am not having any success when I am waiting for them to appear while signed in on a broswer.

    • westwoood says:

Tried The Same Thing With Hotmail and Outlook and i dont get the mails… the Second Version of the hack dont work for me…

  20. Sigma says:

Now some way to whitlist all PS3 games to allow remote play to vita, I know the problem comes from the PS3 firmware but perhaps there is some way to get this working from psvita modification

    same for ubuntutv ?.?
    cheers

ps. or would a cartridge writen for an operatingsystem be better ?

  24. Richard says:

Netflix works. Should I hold off on streaming anything? Don’t want to be shown online with Netflix on pstv.

    • NakedFaerie says:

Netflix isnt even available in my country and I’ve installed it and set it up. The GUI works really slow but movies play fine.

  25. Michael bowe says:

Am I the only one getting “invalid email address” ??

  26. Anon says:

The PSTV finally has a use! Does this write to the console or the memory card? I mean if I swapped cards would it reset?

  27. radicaled321 says:

Gravity Rush on the big screen is awesome, thanks so much :) :)

  28. pythonicca says:

The automated system didn’t work for me. Neither did the manual one (using Thunderbird). The writer email appears to work – I receive the error and shut the app. The other two emails both arrive with a “done” underneath the attachment. When clicked they do nothing.

Any suggestions? I’ve formatted both internal and external memory and completely restored the system. Are you guys sure this works with 3.52?

  29. RaZiel says:

Touch screen works fine with DS4 and use R3 to emulate rear touch screen and even L3 to emulate front touch pad. While can make somethings difficult it is possible to play all this way.

And any chance of getting an easy to install PSP/PS1 whitelist? And just tested Talkman Tokyo it works fine and exploit loads up as well.

  30. piotrekhenry says:

Considering that still not all games will work with this method – is there a list of games that will remain unplayable (I assume it’s shorter than the list of games working) ?

  31. Stanislav says:

    piotrekhenry,:(:(:(:(:(:(

  32. Alfredo says:

    It worked no problem

  33. Played Danganrompa on my PSTV for dozens of hours. Trying ot launch Tetris Ultimate appearently killed the hack. Danganroma was from a retail card whilst Tetris was a download.
I hope there will one day be a permanent solution for this – because its plain awkward that games actually work on the PSTV but Sony simply disabled them…so I don’t really get the point. Isnt it actually contra-productive to effectively shrink and limit your customers or players? I am visually impaired, so playing Danganrompa on my TV was one heck of an eye-saver 😛

  34. OHMAGOSH says:

    waiting for psp custom bubbles!<3

  35. johann says:

  38. NakedFaerie says:

    Thats awesome.
I went and got a PSTV today and did this and it worked fine.
Now to test out some games. :)

  39. NakedFaerie says:

For anyone that didn’t know, the Dualshock 4 CAN use both front and back touchscreens. Use the touchpad with 2 fingers and you will see a white hand and a red hand. White hand is front vita touchscreen and the red hand is the back vita touchscreen.

(I’ve read a few people asking this and using L3 and R3, when if you have a DS4 you just use the touchpad, its easier and faster)

  40. FearTHEWALKINGDEAD@9PMest says:

Is there a bypass in order to not update when running netflix on the pstv or even with crunchyroll? Am getting bs about updating and i know there is a way on a ps3 cfw to bypass the bs of having to sign in on sony in order for them to monitor what you think what you watch and how you live your life i believe it was called NOPSN.

  41. mostwanted12 says:

Stupid question but will this work with downloaded games and will I risk getting my PSN banned?

  42. Robbyvon86 says:

Netflix is now unlocked on my Vita TV.

  43. W wololo says:

Is Assassin’s creed 3 liberation compatible with this hack?

  44. Polite Timesplitter says:

I got a PSTV after hearing about this hack to play some Vita games – an idiot question though, can I still safely get digital games downloaded? If an update comes out that breaks the hack, how can I get PSN games onto my vita TV without taking it online – or am I stuck with physical games?

  45. Ridley says:

I’ve tried turning off the Vita TV using the Home button on my DS4 and selecting “Power Off”. For some reason the hack still works and I’m still able to run Uncharted (Physical copy) without restarting the email steps.

  46. Samwise says:

Funny thing has happened with my PSTV (EU version, VTE-1016), the hack has worked fine, perfect even, heck, better than expected.

I noticed in the notes that after a reboot the hack should disappear, well no matter how much I reboot mine and switch between Vita Memory Cards (An 8GB and a 16GB using the same EU PSN Account if that’s any use) the hack just doesn’t seem to go, games that shouldn’t run still do. Not that I’m complaining at all! But it seems like something to mention considering the predicted behaviour is for it to reset the database after it powers down.

  47. Ridley says:

Uncharted and MGS Collection HD works even after powering off my vita. Both were physical copies.

  48. Andrew says:

My god MY GAMES WORK!!!!! Holy *** Netflix is working too!!! Thank you guys so much I love my vita TV now

  49. S3542U says:

Tested the Easy way guide on my PSTV and so far it works fine.

  50. Uberfry says:

Well its deasd, the new update killed it

  51. Andre104623 says:

At time of writing 10/2/2015 I can still watch netflix on 3.51 PSTV. As long as I don’t turn off the system and don’t exit the netflix screen and always put it in stand-by I can continue to watch netflix. It’s a little slow at times but works just fine I’m very happy with this hack so far.

Now dumping games and game backup installing that’s what I want see even if there isn’t that many games on PSvita that are worth playing but being hacked like my PSP and PS3 is a god send.

  52. Johscott says:

Why can’t you just use charles proxy to redirect the list_launch_vita.dat?

  53. This is the perfect blog for anybody who hopes to understand this topic.
You realize a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally will need to…HaHa).
You certainly put a fresh spin on a topic that’s been discussed for many years.
    Great stuff, just great!
