A few weeks ago @eggnogg nuked a submission to v/worldnews. ( https://www.voat.co/v/ProtectVoat/comments/616644 )
The submission itself broke a sub's rule, but over 140 users voted on it and there were 60-70 comments in the thread. The discussion had taken a turn that was hostile to the immigrants in Europe. @eggnogg chose to nuke the discussion and cited the rules and his own feelings "I just didn't want it there." Peruse his comment history for the past couple of months and you will notice a trend (https://www.voat.co/user/eggnogg/comments) .
@eggnogg seems to want to steer the conversation of v/worldnews, based on his tirade at users posting links to RT here: https://voat.co/v/Worldnews/comments/636777 , and the sources for articles submitted to his own sub v/curatednews
Here he deletes a submission that breaks NO rules because he doesn't like zerohedge as a source: https://voat.co/v/whatever/comments/666428
He has a strong relationship with the trolls who have been using v/soapdoxbanhammer to brigade PV as shown by this attempt to get his ccp upvote brigaded after users had downvoted him: https://voat.co/v/whatever/comments/644552 (which backfired because not all SDBH users are supportive of him). But evidently enough users are as shown by the troll attacks: https://voat.co/v/ProtectVoat/comments/667105 and the fact that his account is getting routinely upvote brigaded each day.
Now here is the crux of the issue. So far people would say we are just going after a mod for enforcing the rules. However, we had him delete a submission critical of refugees here while ignoring 4-5 submissions that could have been deleted for the same reasons: https://voat.co/v/whatever/comments/656667 . The only difference is that the 5 that were left alone did not criticize the refugees in Europe so they didn't bother @eggnogg.
And finally we have this new example. Not of a thread that was deleted, but of a thread that BLATANTLY broke v/worldnews Rule 0 that was left alone by v/eggnogg: https://voat.co/v/Worldnews/comments/665929/3243619
I have permalinked to the relevant comments: https://voat.co/v/Worldnews/comments/665929/3243619
@eggnogg says this:
Yeah I thought about removing it but that guy has a pretty sweet ass.
Meaning that it broke a rule, but he likes it so it stays. This hearkens back to a comment he made about the thread with all the comments "I just didn't want it there".
(I would also point out that @noahward is one of his defenders, is one of the people who has been involved in some of the brigades against PV, and is potentially part of the group upvote brigading @eggnogg's account)
In that comment chain I pointed out how this post broke the same rule that he had enforced on other submissions and he says "if I remove it will you STFU?" . So now rules are enforced as favors to benefit the mod?
This is happening on a system-owned sub on Voat. This is the sort of thing that establishes sitewide precedence and they know it. @eggnogg must step down.
