ISIS vs Rand Paul

Is it me or does anyone else think ISIS was created by the military industrial complex specifically to counter Rand Paul's ascendancy?

There was no ISIS until 2 years ago. Rand was on the cover of Time magazine and leading in early polls. And they slowly, it was ISIS all over the place.

Then the weirdest thing happened, Rand made a big comeback on the previous debate and 1 day later the the Paris attack.

Am i just a crazy conspiracy theorist? :-)
