Get the latest version of Outlook for Mac

If you have an Office 365 subscription, you can get the latest version of Outlook for Mac:

  • If you’re a home user, sign in to your account page, and in the More Office apps for your Mac section, click Install Outlook for Mac.

  • If you’re a business user, go to the Office 365 portal and under Get Outlook for Mac, click Install.

If you have Office for Mac Home and Student 2011, you can upgrade to Office for Mac Home and Business 2011, which comes with a previous version of Outlook.

Important   If you want the latest version of Outlook for Mac, you'll need an Office 365 subscription.

  1. Go to microsoft.com, select your country, and follow the instructions to purchase an upgrade product key.

    Note    The upgrade isn't available in all countries. If it's not available in your country, you can purchase Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 or an Office 365 subscription.

  2. Open an application like Word, and on the App menu, click Upgrade Office.

  3. In the Microsoft Office Setup Assistant, click Enter your product key, and the follow the instructions.

  4. When done, close and restart any open Office applications.
