Rules		Description
1. No Politics		Political videos—including satire and videos related to current political figures— or anything related to politics from the last 10 years, should be submitted to /r/politics, /r/worldpolitics, etc.
2. No Personal Information		Such as names, Facebook pages, phone numbers, addresses, etc. This can also include contact information of public officials or groups (see rule 3). This is grounds for an immediate (and likely permanent) ban, so consider this a warning.
3. No Witch-Hunting		Or incitement to witch-hunt. This means no demanding "Reddit Justice" in any way in post titles or comments. This also includes posting contact information of public officials or groups in an any manner that could be seen as an attempt to get users to contact them.
4. No Videos of Police Brutality or Police Harassment		Consider submitting those to a different subreddit, like /r/Bad_Cop_No_Donut or elsewhere.
5. Submit Direct Link to Video		No web pages that only embed Youtube or Vimeo videos. No URL shorteners. No links to playlists or to channel pages.
6. No Porn or Gore		There are many other subreddits for such content.
7. No Solicitation of Votes or Views. No Asking for Votes or Sharing Submission Links On or Off-Site (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)		Violations can lead to a permanent ban of accounts and video channels.
8. No Hate Speech		You are free to offer your opinion respectfully, but comments intended to demean a group, acontextual expressions of bigotry, and the pejorative use of slurs is disallowed.
9. No Videos of Real-Life, Malicious Person-On-Person Assault/Battery or Physical Abuse of Animals		This includes raw videos of fights.
10. No Third Party Licensing		No videos that are licensed by a third party. Videos that become licensed after they are posted will be removed.

Exactly, it's a slow process and it will take years before our policy will actually be sane.

You have to agree that the current policy is not sane.

Before you enter a party you searched like you are trying to board a plane to the United States by a huge team of guards. You get threatened by signs that if you are caught with drugs you will be handed over to the police. Some the bigger parties there are actually government people there (I think police) that are trying to trick you in to singing a contract (if you get caught) where you admit guild that will go on some sort of permanent record but it will keep you out of jail.

And then if you go through all this trouble and stress (haven't even spoken about the dangers of acquiring) if something happens suddenly nothing's wrong... there is a whole team of medical professionals waiting for you... Suddenly it's all good, nothing illegal, they will just help you and make sure you don't die.

It's backwards/insane.

The Dutch as a country and culture are (or will soon be) ready to legalize marijuana. For now, it's just politicians being scared of the leap.

Whether at some point we'll reach that point for other soft drugs like XTC I don't know, but if anything, it'll be a serious while.

Heroin and cocaine don't stand a hell's chance of becoming legalized though, and I personally support that.

Don't forget that while there are quite a few people who don't mind doing a little bit of XTC once in a while (such as this Dutch fellow, who says so while explaining where he's from), those people are very much in the minority, and the overwhelming majority of Dutch people have no desire to equate it with marijuana and (semi-)legalize it as well.

That said, regardless of it's legal status, and societal status in general, users of any drug should not be treated as criminals but instead ordinary citizens who we should keep safe, and even if they have incurred an minor infraction, might have a medical problem that they need and deserve help for.
