I think the whole "natural alpha" idea is flawed. I've known guys over the years that might seem that way, but they all put in work to get there. The closest thing I've seen was a guy that was so headstrong he was impossible to discourage, which eventually got him what he wanted.

It seems to me it's a bit like high school where everyone's walking around pretending like they didn't study at all for the test and yet got an A+ through natural ability, when they were really cramming the night before. Other high schoolers feel self conscious because they see this person saying they're not really trying but getting good results and they actually believe them and feel envious.
