Schiff's sad passing illustrates an essential truth about the state: if you resist its orders, you will be dealt with by force.

Unlike in libertopia where if you refuse to acknowledge property rights and resist orders to leave, no force whatsoever is used. Its all one big happy family.

I'm not sure if this is how it works in the US, but in many places the tax department has first priority as a creditor on any assets left over when a person dies.

If that's how it works over there then this guy literally went to jail for nothing because the IRD is still going to get its due out of his estate.

I don't think he was mentally ill, I think that was a last ditch effort for freedom when they realized the game was up.
