Comic books have traditionally leaned liberal. It's not very surprising, but it is telling that it's even controversial in the comic, with people made at Sam Wilson. Seems more like a springboard for Sam having early struggles as the new Captain America than anything else.

I wouldn't say traditionally. I love old comics, and you go pre-WWII to the 60s, like most media back then, I'd argue the tone was pretty conservative (though granted, in accordance with various industry codes and laws of the time, so make of that what you will). Even during the wacky Silver Age, you still had some solid titles. These days, it really depends on the team behind the title, and characters like Captain America and The Punisher are ideological punching bags for writers looking to make a point.

I mean, traditionally they have been American, this is all fairly recent.

Shit-for-brains Marvel Comics is in full-propaganda mode. I guess they're on the boycott list now.

Who reads comic books anymore; they are a dying media that is desperately casting about for some relevance. My guess is trashing conservatives as villains isn't going to do it for them and will alienate their remaining readership.

P.S. My username is an intentional oxymoron

I love comics...there's still a lot of good indies that stay true to dark and gritty form.

They should change his name to Captain Al Qaeda if they really want to be P.C.
