Oh, you can still send and receive email, but Google posts a banner at the top urging you to "upgrade your browser". Huh. Well, exsqueeze me all to hell, but CoolNovo does way better than your Chrome browser, Google kids. So until you can manage to come up with something that even approaches the usability of CoolNovo, maybe y'all should just hush up.
