Be nice. We're here to have fun. Being rude, condescending, or insulting other users is not okay.
Don't downvote. If you want a discussion, then discuss. Don't circlejerk here, there's already a sub for that. We encourage the upvoting of all relevant content, and we have a wide definition of what's acceptable. Relax with the hate. Downvoting will never be allowed on this sub.
You're allowed to repost, but look to your left first. If you see a large number of posts about a character, try someone else. Use your best judgment on whether you're contributing or spamming. If you're going to repost try to broaden or change the discussion to keep it fresh.
Threads that are overly broad, are based almost entirely on subjective reasoning, do not promote the sort of debate we host, or comments that do not promote debate may be removed. "What is the coolest hat in all of fiction?" is not okay, but "who is the strongest person X can beat?" is okay
Do not post Sub vs Sub or other posts that can lead to a large number of opinionated extremists to raiding the sub. These may be removed.
Meta posts and other non-conventional threads, such as tournaments, require mod approval. Send us a message we'd love to help you with your thread.
Guidelines:
Include detail when posting. Variety is fun in fighting prompts, and ambiguous fights can have their own uses, but outlining arenas and specifying the universe/version of characters are very helpful details to provide.
Admit when you don't know. No one expects you to be a genius when it comes to every aspect of every character. Let us know when you're just guessing and we'll be fine with it. Always admit it up front if you're unfamiliar with a character.
The penalty for breaking the rules of this sub, contributing to spam, trolling, or purposefully making things more difficult for the mods may include being banned. We issue warnings if we believe the user means well but we are not obligated to do so. You can be banned for a first offense. Report rule breaking and leave rule enforcement to the mods
Remember, the mods are humans, and we realize you're human, too. Be nice and we'll respond in kind. Apologies go a long way if you mess up.
