Yes, she was purring up a storm! She now waits by the dryer when it's running and makes a little shaky quiver tail when I open the door to pull the clothes out. I've created a little monster ;)

i don't understand people with cat allergies. When I give Miss Piggy super scratchies before bed, where she hunches her shoulders to get the most out of the full-back scratchies up to the top of her head and down her back...and fur floats everywhere... I imagine I'm making a torture chamber for someone, rather than what it is to me, winding up a purring fuzzy buddy for cozy snuggles before bed.

Me too and I do the exact same thing. By the time I realized it, it was way too late to turn back. He came from a shelter and had already been returned twice by other people. No way was he going back a third time. He's just the sweetest cat in the world. At least tied for the title with everyone else's. :-)

no kidding. worse than the usual, we have a kitty that's slightly... well, brain damaged. Or neurological. or something. I can't remember what the vet identified, distemper, head trauma...

Anyway we have an adorable, sweet, loving, headbutting/face spearing kitty who is SOOOO friendly... but she spins in circles. Seriously. Spins. The more anxious, excited, wound up (literally), the faster she spins. So if she jumps up into bed to wake you up, nuzzles your face, in an instant you will be hit by butt face butt face butt face until you gather your wits and put her at arms length.

This is her running,, which when really excited is on a dime and just spinning in place.

THANK YOU I couldn't remember the name of what the vet says. She tilts her head to the right and walks in circles. You know that adorable cat on the internet (stay with me) that stretches up and the guy picks it up and it supermans up into the air? she doesn't quite do that, but will stand and reach her paws as high as she can on your leg to be scratched like a dog greeting you. (her balance isn't the best). She does what we call "Spear Therapy," where if you've had a bad day, you go to a table she shouldn't be on (but you tell a kitty with this issue that she has to "GET DOWN!" just makes her panic), crouch down so you're nearly resting your chin on it, and she will just headbutt and spear you with her little face, purring and twirling around you, making all your anxiety and stress go away. And she headbutts at full speed.

We got her from a hoarder who had 80 cats... she tried to keep all females in one bedroom but obviously it failed. She'd been in foster care for 2 years when we got her. Her teeth were SO BAD that she lost all but her fangs. (Think staple remover tool) so her other weird habit is to open her mouth and rake her teeth back and forth across your arm. Usually leaves a nice drool trail.

I don't think so. I had a stray boy with feline ch. His name was Hula because he had a big hip swing when he walked. Such a beautiful sweetie! He got adopted out and I wish I could see him again.
