My favorite youtube commentor is now maintaining that Stalingrad was a phyrric victory for the Russians and that they crippled their economy to attain it.

I guess 1944 and 1945 don't real.

And the Germans still lost, and wrecked everything to do it. And the Russians got Eastern Germany plus the Iron Curtain, so they still made out pretty well with that whole 'Pyrric victory' thing.

Well I just got back from a lovely visit to the RAN Fleet Air Arm Museum. Nothing like looking at a few glorious allied aircraft.
