There's this girl that constantly makes small accusations to try to put me on the defensive, she tickles my boundaries and loves it when I raise my voice in trying to dominate her; she kind of torments, pesters me, but her behavior makes me laugh and very attracted to her, she's the opposite of boring. What's the word for what she's doing?
Edit: after a couple of analyses I think raillery, mockery, provocative banter and sneaky manipulation pretty much covers the ground. Thanks for the help people!

Ribbing

Ribbing? Thanks, I'll have to look that one up.

Goading? Baiting?
[–]OilyB[S] 0 points1 point2 points  (0 children)
Goading is too soft for the almost crossing boundaries part. But thanks!

flirting?
[–]Xoais 0 points1 point2 points  (1 child)
Probably (playfully) teasing.
[–]OilyB[S] 0 points1 point2 points  (0 children)
Thanks but it's more than teasing.

She likes you, go for it
[–]OilyB[S] 0 points1 point2 points  (0 children)
I know, right? I'm just enjoying this phase, it's fun!

I think I found it, 'raillery', 'ridicule'. Because she almost tries to make fun of me, but then I top her and ridicule her even more, in a subtle but clear way. Thanks guys!

'Banter' is much closer of a synonym to 'raillery' than 'raillery' is to 'ridicule'

I'd have to know the feel of the word, what it covers. To me, banter still has a degree of friendliness to it, what she does sometimes almost comes closer to mocking - ridicule. But done in a tongue in cheek way, eagerly awaiting my snarky replies and then bursting with laughter.
[–]easyEggplant 2 points3 points4 points  (1 child)
It sounds like you are contending that "tongue in cheek" mockery and "friendly" mockery are very different things. Can you elaborate on your definitions without circular references? That is, saying "it's not banter, it's closer to ridicule" provides very little information when what banter means might be unclear "I'd have to know the feel of the word, what it covers".
[–]OilyB[S] 0 points1 point2 points  (0 children)
Okay, I could be mistaking definitions, but that said, to me, friendly mockery would concern more innocent topics like clothes, eating or housekeeping habits etc, while tongue-in-cheek mockery would be making fun of my background, education, looks, romantic history etc - a little more risky. While texting she'll act butt hurt about one of my crass remarks and check if I'll get serious and apologize. If I do, she'll laugh at me and even more so if I get fake mad at her. She'll switch from very romantic one conversation to very available and acting horny the next conversation and blame me when I don't feel the same thing she does ay that moment. In fact, I suspect she's subconsciously checking if I'm emotion proof and manipulation proof, if I'm steadfast. But I know for a fact she likes me very much.
In the end I'd say it's not an exact science and her approach varies between friendly and tongue-in-cheek mockery.

I was thinking the same as /u/easyEggplant. I've never heard anyone use ridicule to mean tongue-in-cheek banter or snarky comebacks. It has a pretty unambiguously negative connotation. I guess if you always qualify it as tongue-in-cheek ridicule, people probably wouldn't assume you meant she was legitimately trying to hurt you. Based on the way you described it in most of your comments though, IMHO banter seemed like one of the best suggestions.
If you don't like banter, how about provoke or roast? Could you say she provokes you with snarky comments/personal jabs? Or that you're roasting each other?
[–]OilyB[S] 0 points1 point2 points  (1 child)
Roasting would probably be taking it too far. I think I'll settle for mockery, sneakiness and provocation. It's never meant to hurt, she's not insulting me. Another thing she does is try to keep me on the phone with questions after I've indicated I need to get going - and I do get suckered sometimes. But after a few minutes I'll loudly call her on it and br playfully strict with her and she'll laugh cause she's busted and let me go. Which would be playful manipulation and sheer seduction into staying on the phone.
