for those not in the know regarding gaming, Totalbiscuit is an incredibly popular youtuber (2 million subscribers) who plays and reviews games, and is often critical of the gaming industry for unethical practices. he also runs/ran axiom esports which is a korean starcraft team, he also does commentary, and is the top curator on steam.
he has been battling cancer for some time, and today it was announced the cancer has spread to his liver, is non-operable, and the prognosis is that he may have as little as 2-3 years to live. this is shattering news to many gamers.
/r/games and /r/gaming have been deleting threads left, right and center related to Totalbiscuit's news. my personal suspicion is that these subs are moderated by SJW freaks who equate anyone who is pro "ethics in gaming journalism" with the patriarchy, due to the zoe quinn saga, wherein a female developer was supposedly getting good reviews of her game by sleeping around with reviewers.
the thread linked does not even deal with TB's cancer directly, but is tangentially related as he owns/operates the team, and the team is shutting down.
im on super slow internet right now, so uneddit is not working for me, but i suspect that mods there are deleting any comments even mentioning TB or his medical prognosis.
